Meet the Founder

Ahmed Abdelgawad, M.D., M.Sc., M.B.A.

Co-Founder & CEO

Ahmed was an international medical student, where he quickly learned that navigating the U.S. healthcare education system was especially challenging for international students. Without structured support, he had to forge his own path, proactively building connections with over 24 board-certified physicians to complete an impressive 78 weeks of clinical rotations during his third and fourth years of medical school.

Remembering his own struggles and driven by the desire to make things easier for others, Ahmed decided to create PediCare. Given his strong background and passion for pediatric research, as he is pursuing a Ph.D. in pediatrics, Ahmed initially leveraged his extensive network within pediatrics to support international medical students pursuing rotations in that specialty.

Now, PediCare has expanded beyond pediatrics, growing into a comprehensive platform that helps international students across all medical specialties. Ahmed’s mission remains clear: to ensure future students have the guidance and resources he wished he had.
